Welcome to The Wounds of the Zodiac, where we explore the past life aches of the astrological signs, houses, and planets through the lens of Karmic Astrology. This work is meant to help you unearth the shadows, reclaim your power, and become more fully you. I will be leaking my manuscript ‘The Wounds of the Zodiac’ slowly to you as a paid reader, uncut, raw, and unfiltered. I hope my body of work can help you liberate yourself in this life and the next.
The Wounds of the Zodiac move in a spectrum, from high to low and everywhere in between. Because of this, you may not experience all wounds that exist within one sign, house, or planet. You will carry your own experience and variation of the wound that you are working with in this life. For this reason, I ask that you not get too attached to something you may find here that does not resonate. What I mean is… don’t make yourself feel like you should experience a part of the wound, if you don’t already. Your specific karmic patterns are yours, and include more than just your birth chart — but also your soul contracts and personal lived karma and experiences. This work is meant to help you understand where you may be working with particular wounds and then begin to move through that wound, through the shadow, to raise your consciousness and become more whole. Over attachment to anything is never helpful. Let’s dive in.
Maybe I feel like I belong no where, because I am from the stars.
What does it mean to belong?
I used to think there was something very, very wrong with me.
Why didn’t I feel I belonged anywhere, or with anyone, save those few special friends who made me feel like home? Even in my early years when my mom and I were deeply close, I still felt like an alien inside of my family. I felt like I was never claimed by my fathers side of the family, rejected for being “too different” (too much like my mother maybe.) I dreamed too big, I spoke too intensely, I was too alive, I felt, for this world. I felt in technicolour and everywhere I went I felt as if this world was too full of rules, and authority, and lacked the one thing I was and always will be craving — freedom.
I wanted to be my unique, expressed, strange self and yet when I met the world… when I exposed myself out there all I found was judgement and rejection. The world liked me when I was the pretty, young, blonde Libra rising side of myself. They even liked the shiny Leo side of me. But the dreamer, the visionary? She was threatening. The rebel? She was even more dangerous. She was a the bad influence. Yes, she really was dangerous. She would turn your kids rotten. “Look at the way she dresses, the way she lines her eyes in black make up. Look at how she doesn’t adhere to our socially accepted and agreed upon contracts.” Yes, being my most Aquarian, 11th house, Uranian self was in fact dangerous — and yet entirely enthralling.
I have always danced to the beat of my own Aquarius Imum Coeli, 11th house stellium, Uranus in the 4th —aspecting almost everything in my chart— drum. I have always been obsessed with the past. History was my favourite subject in school, something I was so passionate about I actually managed to receive a 100% on my final academic history paper (incidentally writing about one of my past lives). I was so engulfed in the past I did my best to figure out how to go study for university in Greece or Egypt — with no support from my family or guidance counsellors who thought I was an actual lunatic. I even attempted to learn Arabic at 17 years old. I didn’t end up going to school over seas, but my next step was to receive a scholarship to university and study Archeology, another topic which my high school teachers thought I was out of my mind (and yet maybe a little interesting) for choosing. Thank god I had my mom (my 11th house moon) to encourage me on that very Aquarian journey. University turned out to be a institutional and crushingly authoritative place that was not for me. The studying the past, and somehow the future, was everything to me and unknowingly I entered the very Aquarian/11th House/Uranian world of astrology and followed the intense and definitely not subtle cues of the cosmos that lead me down the rabbit hole of past lives, karma, and ancestral patterns.
Being different always felt deeply engrained, and yet intensely painful.
